/level /leaderboard

Levels, level roles and a leaderboard for your server

/level posts a card with your level in this server, a bar to the next level, your rank and the role you are working towards. /leaderboard shows the ten people with the most XP. Members earn XP for chatting, sharing pictures, time in voice and using Sigil's commands, and every server keeps its own levels.

What it does

  • XP comes from messages (one a minute counts), pictures and files, time in a voice channel with someone else, and using Sigil's commands. Each level costs a little more than the one before.
  • Level roles give a role at a level you choose. People keep every level role they earn, or only the highest if you turn that off.
  • When someone levels up, Sigil can post a level-up card in the channel they were in, in one channel you choose, or nowhere.
  • Set channels and roles that earn no XP or earn more, like a double XP channel, change how much each thing earns, or reset everyone's XP to start again.

Set it up

  1. Add Sigil to your server and run /setup. Levels are on in every server that has been set up.
  2. Members just take part. /level shows their card and /leaderboard shows the top ten.
  3. Open the Levels tab of the server dashboard to add level roles, choose where level-ups are announced and change the XP rules.

Good to know

  • Level roles need the Manage Roles permission, and the role must sit below Sigil's own highest role.
  • Turning levels off stops XP and keeps what people earned.
  • A level card uses the member's own Sigil profile colours and background, if they have a profile.
