Creator profiles
A profile for streamers, artists, musicians and writers, with a big button, a schedule in every fan's time zone, featured work and links.
If you make things for an audience, switch on the creator tools. A creator profile has everything a normal profile has, plus a few things that fans look for.
Switching it on
Choose I'm a creator the first time you sign in, or go to Edit profile, Creator at any time. Switching back to a personal profile hides the creator parts but keeps what you entered.
What a creator profile adds
| Part | What it does |
|---|---|
| The big button | The first thing visitors see next to your name, for your stream, channel or shop. |
| Schedule | Enter your weekly times once, in your own time zone. Every visitor sees them in theirs, with a countdown to the next one, and they stay right when the clocks change. |
| Featured | Videos, clips, tracks or posts, each with a button that opens it. |
| Links | The places people can find you. Sigil counts how often each is followed, a number per day and never who, and shows you in the Stats tab that only you can see. |
| Community | A card with a button to join your Discord server. It has to be a Discord invite. |
| Top fans | The people who wrote the most on your wall in the last 30 days. |
Only normal website addresses are accepted, and they open in a new tab.
Supporter extras for creators
- Remind me. Every upcoming time on your schedule gets a Remind me button for signed-in fans. Sigil messages them privately 15 minutes before. It is a normal reminder: they see it in
/remind listand can cancel it. (Sigil can only reach people who share a server with it or have added it to their account.) - Community size. The card for your Discord server shows how many members it has and how many are online, read from your public invite and refreshed every half hour.
- Where visitors came from. In the Stats tab, your profile's visits by the page they came from: Twitch, YouTube, Discord, search, direct and more. Add
?src=nameto any link you share (for examplehttps://getsigil.me/u/yourname?src=twitch) to see it under that name. It counts visits, never who. Everyone's visits are counted from the start, so a creator who subscribes later sees their history straight away.
Running a Discord server for your community? /setup preset:Creator community channel:#welcome sets the server up, turns the welcome message on and answers with a checklist of next steps. See Getting started.
What is free
| Free | Supporter | |
|---|---|---|
| Schedule rows | 3 | 7 |
| Featured things | 1 | 3 |
| Links | 4 | 8 |
| Stats look back | 30 days | 90 days |
The big button, the Discord community card and top fans are free for everyone. If a plan ends, nothing is deleted: every row you have stays on your profile and you can keep editing and removing them, you just cannot fill more than the free amount until you are under it again or Supporter is back.
Stats
The Stats tab is only visible to you. It shows how often each link was followed, as a count per day, over the last 30 days (90 with Supporter). Sigil does not record who followed a link.
Tips
- Put your profile link in your channel descriptions and bios; it is a link page that always shows your next stream in each fan's own time.
- Keep the schedule honest: a countdown to a stream that does not happen is worse than no schedule.
