Profile cards, compatibility and quotes

Show anyone's profile in a channel, compare two people with /vibe, share your song, and turn a message into a quote card.

/profile

/profile [user] posts a small picture of someone's profile in the channel: their name, a line about them and a few key numbers (level, friends, profile views and Weave streak), with a button that opens the full profile. Leave the user out to show your own.

Supporter members can add full:True to post the full poster instead, with favourite things, drawn on that person's own background. Without being a Supporter you get the compact picture and a private note about it.

It shows what a profile already shows publicly, and nothing more. Nothing it posts can ping anyone.

/link gives you the link to your own profile and to the page where you edit it. Only you see the answer.

/vibe

/vibe is a fun compatibility picture. It posts a ring that fills to a percentage, a few words on how well two people go together, and the things they have in common.

/vibe first:@Mira
/vibe first:@Mira second:@Jonas
  • With one person, it compares them with you. With two, it compares any two people who have Sigil profiles.
  • The percentage is how much of the shorter list of picks they share, so a small profile and a huge one can still match well.
  • It only uses what both profiles already show. The answer is posted in the channel and never pings anyone.
  • Supporter members can add detailed:True to add a full breakdown under the picture, category by category: what both chose, what only one of them chose, and how well each category matches. Without being a Supporter you get the usual picture and a private note about it.

Both people need a Sigil profile; otherwise Sigil tells you who is missing one, privately.

/nowplaying

/nowplaying [user] shows the song someone is listening to, with its title as a link so you can listen too. It shows what they are playing on Spotify right now when Sigil can see it (and they have not switched it off under Permissions on Edit profile), and otherwise the song in the Now playing section of their profile.

Quote cards

In a server with Sigil, right-click any message, choose Apps, then Sigil: Quote card. Sigil turns that message into a picture in the style of its author's profile (their colours and avatar, and a gem if they are a Supporter), says who quoted it, and posts it in the channel.

  • It cannot quote messages from bots, or messages with no text.
  • If you would rather nobody quotes you, switch off Let people turn my messages into quote cards on Edit profile, and Sigil will refuse.
