Your profile page

What is on a profile, how to make it yours with tags, a song, pictures and colours, and how to share it.

Your Sigil profile is one page that follows you between servers. It is public: anyone with the link can see it, and its address is getsigil.me/u/ followed by your Discord username.

Getting started

  1. Press Login with Discord on the home page. Sigil only asks Discord who you are (your name and picture) and which servers you are in.
  2. The first time, you are asked how you will use Sigil: Just me or I'm a creator. You can change it any time on Edit profile, and nothing you added is lost. See Creator profiles.
  3. Open Edit profile for everything: your name, picture, colours and tags under General, and your About text, song, pictures and banner under Profile page.
  4. Put your profile in your bio. Once your profile has something on it, a tip above it shows your link with a Copy link button. Paste it into your Discord About Me and the bios on Twitch, YouTube, X or Steam. /link gives you the same link.

The sections

Every profile has the same sections, so people always know where to look: Overview, Gallery, Friends, Games and Wall. A section only appears when it has something in it. On a phone the sections scroll sideways under your name and everything stacks into one column.

Section What it shows
About A few words about you, as plain text. Your bio is the line under your name; a long bio is shown whole in About.
Now playing Paste a link to one song (Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music or SoundCloud). Sigil keeps the title, artist and cover, and visitors get a Listen on button. Nothing plays on your page.
Gallery Your pictures. JPG, PNG or WebP; moving GIFs are a Supporter feature. You can reorder and remove them.
Banner Supporter A wide picture or GIF across the top of your profile. Press Edit banner on your banner to change it.
Friends and Wall You decide whether your friends list and your wall (notes from other people) are shown. Comments on the wall are for friends only unless you change that.
Games Your Weave streak, plays, best score and weekly rank, and any CONQUEST champion badges.

Making it yours

Everything is on Edit profile.

  • Avatar. Your Discord picture, one you upload (cropped to a square), or no picture.
  • Display name and bio. The display name is shown instead of your Discord username.
  • Accent colour. Sets the colours of your highlights and outlines.
  • Card opacity. How solid the cards on your profile are. Lower numbers let your page background show through; text and pictures always stay clear.
  • Fonts Supporter. A font for your whole profile and a different one for your bio.
  • Page background. A colour or gradient, free for everyone. Supporter members can use a picture, still or animated; while a picture is showing it covers the colour.
  • Social links. Type just your handle for any of the supported sites. Sigil builds the link for you, and a handle that does not fit that site's rules is refused, so a link can never point somewhere else.

Tags

Tags say what you are into: games, shows and anime, music, movies, hobbies, languages, your time zone and more. There are many categories with hundreds of choices in each.

  • On Edit profile, open a category and tick what fits. A search box at the top of a long list helps you find things fast.
  • You can pick up to 50 in each category. The button shows how many you have ticked.
  • Your tags appear on the Overview of your profile.
  • Tags are also what /vibe compares, and what a role menu's Match my Sigil card button reads.

In common with you

When you are signed in and look at someone else's profile, an In common with you card shows the tags you share and how much of the shorter list you have in common. Nobody else sees it.

Staying safe

Your profile and the pictures on it are visible to anyone with the link, so only add things you are happy to share. If something breaks the rules, use the flag on a picture or Report at the top of a profile. Moderators review reports. The privacy page explains exactly what Sigil keeps.
