Reminders

/remind add when what sets a reminder. Say when in plain words:

  • in 2h
  • tomorrow 6pm
  • friday 19:30
  • 2026-10-03 19:30

Options:

Option What it does
repeat Make it come back every day or every week.
where A private message (the default) or the channel you are in.

Each reminder arrives with Snooze (10 minutes, an hour or tomorrow) and Done buttons.

Your time zone

Run /remind timezone once and give it your time zone (for example Europe/London or UTC+2). After that, "tomorrow 6pm" means yours.

Your list

/remind list shows your reminders and lets you cancel one.

Remind me about a message

Right-click any message, choose Apps, then Sigil: Remind me. It asks when, and sends you a private message with a link back to that message. Only the link is kept.

What is kept

A reminder keeps only what you typed, and is deleted a couple of days after it has been sent and dealt with. Reminders work anywhere, including private chats, even before a server has run /setup.

AFK

/afk [reason] marks you as away in that server.

  • While you are away, Sigil tells people who mention you (at most once a minute per channel, and the note removes itself).
  • The next time you write something, it welcomes you back and takes the AFK off.
  • It lasts until then, or a week.
