UwU lock
Lock yourself, or a friend, into uwu-speak for a few minutes. A joke command that a server turns on first.
/uwulock makes someone talk in uwu-speak for a few minutes. While a person is locked, Sigil removes each text message they send and posts it again in uwu-speak, under their own name and picture. Discord marks a message sent this way with its own BOT tag.
It is off until the server turns it on: a server manager switches UwU lock on in the dashboard's General tab.
| Use it like this | What happens |
|---|---|
/uwulock |
Locks you for 10 minutes. Anyone can lock themselves. |
/uwulock minutes:30 |
Locks you for 30 minutes (1 to 60). |
/uwulock user:@friend |
Locks someone else. You need Manage Messages. |
/uwulock stop:True |
Ends your lock. A person can always end their own, and Manage Messages ends anyone's. |
- People who manage the server or its messages, and bots, can never be locked by someone else.
- Only plain text is rewritten. A picture or a sticker is left alone.
- Mentions in a rewritten message never ping anyone.
- Sigil needs Manage Messages and Manage Webhooks in the channel, to remove a message and post it again under the person's name.
- At most 25 people can be locked in a server at once. Switching the feature off ends every lock.
Discord only shows a bot what a message says when its Message Content setting is on, so this command only works while that is switched on for Sigil, and it tells you when it is not.
